One of my favorite things about photographing weddings, is being able to be apart of one of the most important events in someone’s life. And when that someone happens to be one of your greatest friends, the feelings are multiplied. Kristen and I have been friends for over a decade, and I can never get over how amazing it is to watch your friends and loved ones grow and become such amazing people. Kristen is amazing, she’s always been a great friend, and I’m excited that she has found someone to spend the rest of her life with, and I know she is going to be an amazing wife as well. JZ and Kristen make such an amazing duo, and I can’t wait to watch them grow together. Maria and I had such a great time working on their engagement photos and are so excited for their wedding!
So excited to finally share this beautiful wedding with everyone. We were so excited when our good friends Marisol and Daniel chose us to photograph their wedding, they are such a cute couple together and they share the same love for god, happiness and life. Every time we met up with them we’d almost forget about their wedding and just talk about everything else except the wedding for hours, we knew we were going to enjoy being part of their special day.
They had their ceremony at a beautiful chapel in Upland, Ca with so much history behind it. The ceremony was followed by everyone gathered outside waiting for the newly weds to make an appearance, it was so great to see everyone cheering in excitement for these two, and the moment everyone simultaneously released their balloons while they kissed was so cute!
They had their reception in the art district of Downtown Riverside, we took the entire bridal party on a walk through downtown. We took to the back alleys for some amazing bridal portraits, everyone in the group was having fun and laughing and loved being in front of the camera!
We loved every minute of Marisol and Daniels wedding, it always amazes us to see a couple get so much love and support from all their friends and family. This wedding was definitely filled with so much emotion, and the impact that these two had on everyone was clear. We feel so lucky to have these two as our friends and were fortunate to be apart of their big day.
We are so excited for the arrival of our good friend Janae’s newborn! We were there to help her share the excitement of her announcement, and just a few weeks back we met up with her again for a maternity shoot in the beautiful beach of Laguna. She has been sharing every moment of her pregnancy with us, and has everyone excited for his arrival, I believe he is running a little late but we should be expecting him anytime this week! We are so excited for Janae and Christopher to start their new little family!
A few months back Maria and I held our first little photo contest/giveaway on Instagram, and the grand prize was a family photo session. It was so great, really did not expect the amount of people who participated. We wanted it to be fair, so we chose the winner completely at random, and our lucky winner was Maritza and her beautiful little family!
I had the pleasure of meeting Maritza just a few weeks prior to the giveaway, she was a make-up artist at a wedding we had just photographed. She was so excited to bring her family out and have some photos taken, since the four of them have never had a family photo session before. Her two little ones Jayden and Mia were so reat to work with, they loved being in front of the camera, and Mario (husband) made sure the whole family brought their Angels’ jerseys to show some pride!
Maria and I have been planning this photowalk for almost two months. Our first one was a great experience, we had a nice group of about 15 people, we made some new friends, took some great photos together and enjoyed the idea of getting all of these artists together to share our love for creating.
For this photowalk, we wanted everyone to have a really great experience, we planned it at the beach, we were able to put together a couple of prizes for a giveaway towards the end of the event. And thanks to IE Photo Rentals, we were able to really spread the word about the photowalk and we had 30+ people show up!
What Maria did not know that besides planning the photowalk, I was also planning something special. Maria and I have been photographing engagements, weddings and family photos for over a year together now, and nothing has brought me more joy than being able to work professionally and creatively together with someone who shares the same passion for photography as I do, and this girl happens to be my girlfriend! I’ve known for a long time now that I want to spend the rest of my life with her, and I wanted to do something really special that combined all our friends and family and the thing we love most. So what better proposal, than at a photowalk.
The turnout for the photowalk was amazing, we had a huge group of photographers, everyone got to meet each other, we all took photos and prizes were won! I gathered everyone at the end for a nice group photo. On the last photo I sent Maria over to the camera to take the last photo, and when she turned around she had no idea what she was in for…
Thank you to everyone who help make this happen! I am so blessed to be surrounded by so many great people. I hope everyone had a great time at the photowalk, we really do believe in community first and cannot wait to host many more!
